We recently got a first look at the Eddie Murphy sporting a very familiar jacket as he films scenes for Beverly Hills Cop: Axel Foley, and a new photo from the LA set has now confirmed the return of two fan-favorite supporting characters.

As you can see, both Detective Billy Rosewood (Judge Reinhold) and Sergeant John Taggart (John Ashton) will be joining their old pal Axel for another sure-to-be action-packed adventure.

While Taggart and Rosewood did return for Beverly Hills Cop 2, Reinhold is the only actor aside from Murphy to appear in all three movies. The previous batch of set snaps revealed that Paul Reiser (Stranger Things) will also reprise the role of Jeffrey.

Beverly Hills Cop: Axel Foley (yes, that's the title they're going with) plot details are still under wraps, but we do know that Murphy will be joined by Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Taylour Paige in supporting roles.

The movie is being directed by Mark Molloy from a screenplay written by Will Beall, with Murphy also on board as a producer alongside Jerry Bruckheimer, Chad Oman, and Melissa Reid of Jerry Bruckheimer Films.

The first Beverly Hills Cop released in 1984, and was a huge hit. It was followed by a well-received sequel in 1987, and Beverly Hills Cop 3 in 1994. The threequel was a critical and commercial flop, however.
