We just recently learned that a new Beverly Hills Cop movie was in development for Netflix, and it seems they've wasted very little time in getting production underway.
Several set photos have been shared online, giving us a first look at Eddie Murphy as wisecracking Detroit police officer Axel Foley. Just in case there was any doubt who the legendary actor/comedian is playing here, Murphy is decked-out in Foley's signature Detroit Lions jacket.

Beverly Hills Cop: Axel Foley (yes, that's the title they're going with) plot details are still under wraps, but we do know that Murphy will be joined by Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Taylour Paige in supporting roles.
The movie is being directed by Mark Molloy from a screenplay written by Will Beall, with Murphy also on board as a producer alongside Jerry Bruckheimer, Chad Oman, and Melissa Reid of Jerry Bruckheimer Films.
The first Beverly Hills Cop released in 1984, and was a huge hit. It was followed by a well-received sequel in 1987, and Beverly Hills Cop 3 in 1994. The threequel was a critical and commercial flop, however.
