Black Adam star Dwayne Johnson is one of the most popular actors working in Hollywood today. He commands a massive social media presence and is beloved by just about everybody.

It's no wonder then that there's been talk of him one day running for United States President, following in the footsteps of other celebrities who have found their way into the Oval Office. However, The Rock has now confirmed he isn't looking to make the leap into politics.

Talking to CBS News, Johnson confirmed he has no plans to run for President, explaining that he instead wants to focus on his children. He'd add to that by saying, "being a father to my little girls is the most important thing in my life. To raise 'em and always be there, during these critical years in their life."

"I know what it’s like to not be there all the time as a father, because of an unrelenting work schedule," he continued, presumably referring to his own father, wrestler Rocky Johnson. "I won’t let that happen ever again. Choosing parenting over presidency."

Interestingly, Johnson pointed out that, "I’ve been approached by the most influential in politics on both sides of the aisle asking and supporting that I run for President." His support for President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris suggested the actor is a Democrat, though he clearly has no intention to run for either party.

Johnson's children will grow up one day, of course, so there's nothing to say he won't eventually change his mind. Right now, that's not on the cards for him, something fans of his work on the big screen - and in the wrestling ring - are likely to be appreciative of.

I can't believe we have politicians dumb enough to want him as president. But it makes sense when you see how politics have been for the last 30+ years. Pure morons all of the spectrum. Yeah, Let's have a WWF wrestler be president! Im starting to realize this country deserves everything it gets. Idiots elect idiots
