A reboot of the 1996 Arnold Schwarzenegger film Eraser, Warner Bros. describes Eraser: Reborn as follows:
"U.S. Marshal Mason Pollard specializes in “erasing” people – faking the deaths of high-risk witnesses. With the technological advances of the last 25 years, the game has upgraded, and it’s just another day at the office when he’s assigned to Rina Kimura, a crime boss’ wife who’s decided to turn state’s evidence. As the two flee to Cape Town, South Africa, with a team of merciless assassins on their trail, Pollard discovers he’s been set up. Double-crossed and fueled by adrenaline, he needs to be at the top of his game, or he’ll be the one who’s erased. Permanently."
In addition to Sherwood, the film stars Jacky Lai of the Netflix series V-Wars as Rina Kimura; McKinley Betcher II of Marriage Story as Paul Whitlock, who serves as a mentor to Pollard; and Eddie Ramos of the TV series Animal Kingdom as local gangster Sugar Jax.
Serving as director is The Quiet Ones and Deep Blue Sea 3's John Pogue, with a script by Jughead 3: The Siege writer Michael Weiss, Donnie Darko's Hunt Lowry and Pure Country Pure Heart's Patty Reed.
The original Eraser had a global gross of $242 million on a $100 million budget.
Eraser: Reborn will be released on Digital, Blu-ray and DVD on June 7.
