The end of the Fast & Furious franchise is, well, fast approaching. There are just two movies left before this era of storytelling reaches its conclusion, and director Justin Lin's decision to leave the project after "creative differences" with star Vin Diesel did little to slow the project's momentum.
Universal Pictures, however, wasted no time in replacing him with Louis Leterrier (The Incredible Hulk), an intriguing choice to take charge of the franchise given his own action credentials.
Fast X has attracted some big names, including Oscar-winner Brie Larson. We're excited to see the Avengers: Endgame and Captain Marvel star kicking ass in this world of high-octane ridiculousness, and the actor recently took to social media to show off her action movie star physique (which is also a superhero physique seeing as she has The Marvels on the way).
Larson cuts an impressive figure, and should fit in nicely alongside the Fast & Furious crew.
Other additions to the movie include Jason Momoa (Aquaman), Daniela Melchoir (The Suicide Squad), and Alan Ritchson. Returning stars include Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Charlize Theron, Ludacris, Jordana Brewster, Nathalie Emmanuel, Sung Kang, Michael Rooker, and Scott Eastwood.
Last month, Larson also shared a behind-the-scenes photo of her and Diesel on the movie's set. They seem to be getting along famously, and she's clearly enjoying her time in this action franchise.
In terms of plot details, very little has been revealed about Fast X. However, all you probably need to know is that there will be a lot of cars, a lot of crazy stunts, and probably quite a few explosions too. Will it get crazier than heading into outer space? That obviously remains to be seen for now!
Fast & Furious 10, a.k.a. Fast X, is set to race into theaters on May 19, 2023.
