2022 saw the Jurassic World trilogy reach its end, leaving Universal Pictures with one less profitable franchise to fall back on. The Fast & Furious series is also close to concluding, but it's not over yet, and our first look at Fast X was recently confirmed for a February release. However, it's actually heading our way a little sooner than expected!
According to Collider, we can expect to get a first look at the movie on February 10, two days before the Super Bowl. That's how Universal chose to debut the Fast 9 trailer in 2021, and should help ensure the tenth instalment of this long-running franchise isn't overshadowed during what's sure to be a busy Sunday night for new sneak peeks.
The site notes that the trailer is a whopping 3 minutes long, so we're clearly going to be treated to a lot of huge, high-stakes action ahead of Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel) and his crew's return.
As you might expect, Universal still plans to drop a Fast X TV spot during the Big Game.
Fast X has attracted some big names, including Oscar-winner and Captain Marvel star Brie Larson. Other additions to the movie include Jason Momoa (Aquaman), Daniela Melchoir (The Suicide Squad), and Alan Ritchson (Titans).
Returning stars include Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Charlize Theron, Ludacris, Jordana Brewster, Nathalie Emmanuel, Sung Kang, Michael Rooker, and Scott Eastwood. It was also recently reported that Gal Gadot will return as Gisele Yashar despite the character's death in Fast & Furious 6.
In terms of plot details, very little has been revealed about Fast X. However, all you probably need to know is that there will be a lot of cars, a lot of crazy stunts, and probably quite a few explosions too. Will it get crazier than heading into outer space? That obviously remains to be seen for now, but we're sure something huge is planned.
Fast & Furious 10, a.k.a. Fast X, is set to race into theaters on May 19.
