With its debut only weeks away, Apple TV+ has dropped another pulse-quickening trailer for Guy Ritchie’s globe-trotting heist thriller Fountain of Youth. The new footage showcases John Krasinski, Natalie Portman, and Eiza González as estranged allies who criss-cross the planet in search of the legendary spring said to grant immortality.
The story pairs siblings Jack (Krasinski) and Lila (Portman), who reluctantly reunite after years apart when clues surface about the mythical fountain. Armed with encyclopedic knowledge of world history—and backed by González’s daring thief, Reyna—they follow a breadcrumb trail of riddles, ancient maps, and hidden vaults. Success could rewrite the limits of human life; failure will cost them far more than fortune.
Guy Ritchie directs from a script by James Vanderbilt (The Amazing Spider-Man, Ready or Not, Scream VI). The project is produced by David Ellison’s Skydance in partnership with Apple Studios, bringing blockbuster resources to the streaming arena. Principal photography spanned Rome’s catacombs, the bazaars of Marrakech, and remote volcanic caves in the Azores, lending the film an old-school adventure scope reminiscent of classic serials and Ritchie’s signature kinetic style. Long-time collaborator Alan Stewart served as cinematographer, favoring practical stunts, wide-angle lenses, and a saturated color palette that contrasts dusty ruins with neon-lit capitals.
The ensemble cast extends beyond its three leads to include Domhnall Gleeson, Arian Moayed, Laz Alonso, Carmen Ejogo, and Stanley Tucci—each playing scholars, fixers, or rivals desperate to reach the fountain first. Oscar-winning composer Steven Price supplies a globe-hopping score that fuses North African percussion with lush orchestral swells and ’60s-style spy guitars, amplifying the cat-and-mouse energy.
The film arrives amid hectic schedules for its stars. Krasinski is currently shooting an Amazon MGM feature that continues his Jack Ryan run, having recently directed the family fantasy IF and cameoed as Reed Richards in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Portman comes off Apple’s limited series Lady in the Lake and Todd Haynes’ acclaimed May December, while González reunites with Ritchie after The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare and is slated for his upcoming thriller In the Grey.
Fountain of Youth streams exclusively on Apple TV+ on May 23, inviting viewers on a high-speed chase where the ultimate prize is nothing less than eternal life—and the cost of failure could doom humanity’s future!
