As part of this past weekend's TUDUM event, Netflix released the first clip from Rian Johnson's highly anticipated Knives Out sequel, Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery.
In this latest sneak peek, we meet many of the suspects who will find themselves matching wits with Daniel Craig's Detective Benoit Blanc. They're a suitably eclectic bunch, and based on what we see here, the former 007's investigator will have his work cut out for him as he attempts to get to the bottom of another compelling whodunnit.
"The mystery begins when a group of old friends all receive an unexpected invitation in the form of an intricate puzzle box," Johnson explains in an introduction that plays before the clip. "But what starts as a game turns into something much more nefarious."
In the footage, Leslie Odom Jr., Dave Bautista, Kate Hudson, Kathryn Hahn, and Jessica Henwick are among those who solve the puzzle, only to learn they're being thrust into the middle of a murder case involving an old friend.
If Knives Out was about the murderous ties of flesh and blood, Glass Onion makes a good case for being just as wary of one's closest friends. When a tech billionaire Miles Bron (Edward Norton) invites some of his nearest and dearest for a getaway on his private Greek island, it soon becomes clear that all is not perfect in paradise.
And when someone turns up dead, well, who better than Blanc to peel back the layers of intrigue?
Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery arrives on Netflix on December 23. Watch the clip below:
