It's time to bring Harrison Ford's final adventure as Dr. Jones home as Walt Disney Home Entertainment has officially announced that Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny will arrive on Digital HD later this month on August 29!
While there's curiously no mention of a streaming date or a 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray launch date, we'd imagine those announcements aren't far behind and we'd assume it'll be available on both formats before the end of September. The press release, however, does reveal that the digital release will include an extensive five-part behind-the-scenes making-of documentary that should be plenty exciting for diehard fans of the franchise.
The James Mangold-directed swan song, which received a mostly warm reception from critics and audiences alike (69% on RT with an 88% audience score), was one of this summer's biggest underperformers, grossing just over $370.7 million on an estimated $300 million production budget, a far cry from its predecessor and not the performance Disney was ideally hoping for.
In addition to Ford as the titular archaeologist, the cast features Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Helena Shaw), Antonio Banderas (Renaldo), John Rhys-Davies (Sallah), Shaunette Renée Wilson (Mason), Thomas Kretschmann (Colonel Weber), Toby Jones (Basil Shaw), Boyd Holbrook (Klaber), Olivier Richters (Hauke), Ethann Isidore (Teddy), and Mads Mikkelsen (Dr. Voller)
