As we count down the days, Red Chillies Entertainment has released the official final trailer for Shah Rukh Khan's upcoming blockbuster JAWAN, and it's even more epic than we could've imagined as the King Khan transforms into one of the most challenging roles - or shall we say, roles - of his legendary career!

Even though there's less than a week to go, plot details remain under wraps in the deepest corners of Mannat. However, the film's brief synopsis labels it a "high-octane action thriller which outlines the emotional journey of a man who is set to rectify the wrongs in society."

Khan will play the title role of a JAWAN, which translates to "Soldier," who will seemingly recruit an elite team of six female soldiers to take on one of the most dangerous weapons dealers in the world, played by Vijay Sethupathi. With a rumored production budget exceeding ₹300 crore, the film is one of the most ambitious and largest productions in the history of Indian cinema and is widely expected to be one of the biggest, if not the biggest Indian releases of the calendar year.

Having already exceeded the pre-ticket sales of SRK's January release Pathaan, the upcoming JAWAN is already well on its way to becoming a massive success, and possibly another major win for King Khan on his yearlong comeback tour. Whether it ultimately tops the $128.7 million lifetime gross of his last release remains to be seen, but we certainly wouldn't bet against it, especially with SRK teaming with top South Indian talent in Lady Superstar Nayanthara and director Atlee Kumar, as well as frequent Bollywood collaborator Deepika Padukone.

SRK is also historically a much larger global box office draw than his Indian contemporaries, so we'd expect his latest venture to do big business in the North American and European markets, and we'd keep your eyes peeled for a potential Top 10 finish at the U.S. box office next Sunday.

In addition to SRK, the supporting cast consists of Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Deepika Padukone, Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Girija Oak, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, Lehar Khan, Aaliyah Qureshi, Ridhi Dogra, Sunil Grover, and Mukesh Chhabra. Vijay and Sanjay Dutt have also been rumored to make special appearances, although both are unconfirmed for now.

Additionally, like PathaanJAWAN will also be released on IMAX screens across the globe, so make sure to grab your tickets to see the film on the biggest screen imaginable!

Check out the official trailer below:

An emotional journey of a man who is set to rectify the wrongs in the society, in an attempt to get even with his past, driven by a personal vendetta while keeping up to a promise made years ago. A high-octane action thriller where he is up against a dreadful monstrous outlaw who knows no fear and has caused extreme suffering to many. In the journey he will cross paths with a high-minded seasoned lady officer whose emotions might get the better of her as she gets involved in this battle. As his past catches up with him, to overcome the challenges and restore the harmony in their world, he will need all the firepower and intelligence to do so.

JAWAN hits theaters - and IMAX - on September 7!
