March is a busy month for movies, with Scream 6, 65, and Shazam! Fury of the Gods all on the way. However, the one we're most excited about is John Wick: Chapter 4, a movie that will see Keanu Reeves return as the titular assassin in what promises to be the franchise's biggest instalment to date.
A select number of critics were among the first to see this latest chapter in the long-running action saga yesterday evening, and we can now share their reactions with you.
As you can see below, the response thus far has been overwhelmingly positive, with many praising Chapter 4 as the best John Wick movie to date. However, that mammoth runtime - it's just shy of 3 hours - is definitely an issue for some, and it does sound like it might be a tad overlong.
That's becoming an all-too-regular occurrence with big budget movies lately, though the success of titles like Avengers: Endgame, The Batman, and Avatar: The Way of Water proves it's not a problem for most moviegoers.
Reeves is going to be joined by returning cast members Ian McShane, Lance Reddick, and Laurence Fishburne, along with franchise newcomers Bill Skarsgård, Shamier Anderson, and Clancy Brown. Donnie Yen, Hiroyuki Sanada, Rina Sawayama, Scott Adkins, and Natalia Tena will also appear.
In the movie, John Wick (Keanu Reeves) uncovers a path to defeating the High Table. But before he can earn his freedom, Wick must face off against a new enemy with powerful alliances across the globe and forces that turn old friends into foes.
John Wick: Chapter 4 is set to be released in theaters on March 24, 2023.
