The first official trailer for The Union has dropped online, offering a first look at an upcoming spy action comedy-thriller starring 2x Academy Award-nominee Mark Wahlberg (The Fighter, The Departed, Transformers: Age of Extinction) and Academy Award-winner Halle Berry (X-Men: Days of Future Past; John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum; Monster's Ball) in the lead roles. They play a pair of high school sweethearts who reconnect decades later when the world is threatened by a looming danger.
According to the synopsis, "Mike (Wahlberg) is content living a simple life as a construction worker in New Jersey until his long-lost high school sweetheart, Roxanne (Berry), reappears with urgent matters beyond romance. Recognizing his unique skill set, she enlists Mike for a perilous intelligence mission in Europe. Together, they are thrust into a high-stakes world of espionage and high-speed car chases, rekindling their connection amidst the chaos."
