ROCKY 7: Sylvester Stallone Shares Story Ideas For Scrapped Movie And Again Calls Out Producer Irwin Winkler

Complicated rights issues mean Sylvester Stallone isn't free to do what he likes with the Rocky franchise, and that means the Hollywood icon will never star in a seventh chapter of the long-running boxing franchise.

The actor and filmmaker has previously blamed producer Irwin Winkler for that, and he's levelled accusations that include withholding the rights from him despite promises he argues were once made. Stallone is also unhappy with the direction Michael B. Jordan has taken Creed III in, so yeah, we won't be seeing him again as Rocky there either!

In a now-deleted Instagram post, Stallone once again took aim at Winkler and shared new details about what the movie could have been.

That includes artwork from painter Jon Rivoli and the reveal that the story was going to follow Rocky as he fights "for the neighborhood that made him and that he still loves."

Other revelations include the fact he was still going to be running Adrian's Restaurant, a flashback or imaginary conversation with Rocky talking to Adrian, and the fact the younger boxer he was set to mentor was likely going to be a 27-year-old called Chucho the Mutt.

Below, you can see Stallone's original Tweet linking to the now-deleted Instagram post (we're not sure why he took it down) and the photos the actor shared courtesy of a fan who managed to save them before they vanished.

Do you wish Rocky 7 had happened?
