With just under ten days to go, Yash Raj Films has shared the official final trailer for Shah Rukh Khan's (Don: The Chase Begins Again; Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge; Veer-Zaara) hotly-awaited spy actioner Pathaan.

Advance tickets are also now on sale worldwide, including in the United States, which is the earliest they've ever gone on sale for a Bollywood film!

The new trailer finally offers a few details about the film's mysterious plot and reveals that India will find itself at the mercy of a private terror group named Outfit X, led by the über-dangerous Jim (John Abraham), who has planned a massive attack against the Indian subcontinent. With time running out fast, the nation's leaders will seek to free and unleash their secret weapon, the long-thought-dead RAW agent Pathaan (SRK), who plans to greet the evildoers with plenty of fireworks.

The trailer also formally announces the YRF Spy Universe, confirming that this film will be set in the same cinematic universe as Salman Khan's Tiger films and Hrithik Roshan's War. While rumors indicate Khan and Roshan will make cameos in this spy action thriller, YRF's ultimate goal is to bring the three global megastars together for an epic crossover film.

Pathaan was written and directed by Siddharth Anand (WarBang Bang!; Salaam Namaste) and will bow in theaters on January 25; coinciding with the Republic Day holiday in India, which sets the stage for a gargantuan opening weekend for the legendary actor's first film in a leading role since 2018's Zero.

Khan will star in the title role with frequent collaborator Deepika Padukone (Chennai Express; Om Shanti Om; xXx: The Return of Xander Cage) as the female lead and John Abraham (DhoomDostanaSatyameva Jayate) playing the primary antagonist. Dimple Kapadia (Dil Chahta Hai; DabanggTenet) will also appear in a key supporting role.

SRK's longtime friend and fellow icon Salman Khan (Mujhse Shaadi KarogiEk Tha TigerTiger Zinda Hai) is slated to make an extended cameo as Avinash Singh Rathore, reprising his role from YRF's ongoing Tiger action franchise, while superstar Hrithik Roshan (Kabhi Khushi Kabhie GhamDhoom 2; Vikram Vedha) is also rumored to cameo as Major Kabir Dhaliwal from 2019's War

Pathaan (January 25) will be the first of three releases for King Khan in 2023, followed by Atlee's Jawan on June 2, and Rajkumar Hirani's Dunki on December 22.
