Shotgun Wedding is another movie that was supposed to debut in theaters before pivoting to streaming, but this still looks like it should be a fun ride in the vein of The Lost City and Mr. & Mrs. Smith

Starring Jennifer Lopez and Josh Duhamel in the lead roles, the movie boasts an impressive cast that also includes Jennifer Coolidge, D'Arcy Carden, Melissa Hunter, Callie Hernandez, Cheech Marin, Sonia Braga, and Lenny Kravitz. Armie Hammer had originally been picked to star opposite J-Lo, but departed the project for obvious reasons following recent scandals.

In Shotgun Wedding, Darcy (Lopez) and Tom (Duhamel) gather their lovable but very opinionated families for the ultimate destination wedding, just as the couple begin to get cold feet. And if that wasn’t enough of a threat to the celebration, suddenly everyone’s lives are in danger when the entire party is taken hostage.

"'Til Death Do Us Part" takes on a whole new meaning in this hilarious, adrenaline-fueled adventure as Darcy and Tom must save their loved ones - if they don’t kill each other first.

Based on what we see in the first trailer for the movie, the action comedy should be a lot of fun, with the arrival of these armed criminals exactly what's needed to bring these two together before their wedding. That may seem extreme, but this does look like a movie with a good balance of action, comedy, and romantic elements.

Shotgun Wedding is set to premiere on Prime Video on January 27. Watch the trailer below, and be sure to keep checking back here for more on this one as we have it.
