Per Deadline, three more actors have joined the cast of The Accountant 2, which is the sequel to the most streamed movie of 2017.
The sequel to the 2016 sleeper hit features a cast that includes Ben Affleck, Jon Bernthal, J.K. Simmons, and Cynthia Addai-Robinson.
Joining them are Daniella Pineda (Cowboy Bebop, Jurassic World), Allison Robertson, Robert Morgan (Hacksaw Ridge), and Grant Harvey (Emancipation, Monster).
According to Deadline, the plot of the sequel is as follows- " Treasury Agent Marybeth Medina (Addai-Robinson), who after her boss is murdered by unknown assassins is forced to contact Christian Wolff (Affleck) to solve the murder."
"With the help of his estranged but lethal brother Brax (Bernthal), Chris applies his brilliant mind and less-than-legal methods to piece together the unsolved puzzle. As they get closer to the truth, the trio draws the attention of some of the most ruthless killers alive — all intent on putting a stop to their search."
Filming is already underway on the sequel which shifts studios from Warner Bros. to Amazon MGM.
Gavin O’Connor is returning to direct, with Bill Dubuque handling script duties once again.
Not too long ago, O'Connor disclosed that he's always envisioned making three films to complete The Accountant trilogy. Said O'Connor, "I've always wanted to do three...So there'll be more screen time for Bernthal in the second one. The third movie is going to be the two brothers, this odd couple. The third one is going be a buddy picture."
With the film moving from WB to Amazon MGM, there's the possibility that the sequel could skip theaters and head straight to Prime Video, however, nothing has been confirmed just yet.

Behind the cover of a small-town CPA office, he works as a freelance accountant for some of the world’s most dangerous criminal organizations. With the Treasury Department’s Crime Enforcement Division, run by Ray King (J.K. Simmons), starting to close in, Christian takes on a legitimate client: a state-of-the-art robotics company where an accounting clerk (Anna Kendrick) has discovered a discrepancy involving millions of dollars. But as Christian uncooks the books and gets closer to the truth, it is the body count that starts to rise.
