The Equalizer 3 has started production on the Amalfi Coast and to mark the occasion, Sony Pictures has shared some images directly from the set, revealing our first look at 2x Academy Award-winner Denzel Washington (Fences; Training Day) reprising his role as Robert McCall.
In addition to Washington, the cast features Dakota Fanning (Man on Fire; War of the Worlds) and Gaia Scodellaro (That Dirty Black Bag; You, Me and the Apocalypse). No further details are currently available for either of their roles, but audiences are already excited to see the on-screen reunion of Man on Fire co-stars, Washington and Fanning, when the film makes its way into theaters next September.
Antoine Fuqua (Training Day; The Magnificent Seven) returns to helm the third installment, with a screenplay from Richard Wenk, who also penned the first two films.
Plot details are being kept under wraps, but it'll surely be one of the more anticipated action sequels of 2023, joining the likes of Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One and John Wick: Chapter 4.
The Equalizer 3 hits theaters on September 1, 2023.
