Variety is reporting that Sony Pictures has sold the worldwide distribution rights - excluding China - to their upcoming action-comedy, The Man From Toronto, to Netflix. It's expected to arrive later this year.

The film was directed by Patrick Hughes (The Hitman's Bodyguard; The Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard) and stars 2x Primetime Emmy-nominee Kevin Hart (Central IntelligenceDC League of Super-Pets) and 3x Academy Award-nominee Woody Harrelson (Venom: Let There Be Carnage; True Detective) in the lead roles.

The plot centers on the world’s deadliest assassin, the titular “Man from Toronto” (Harrelson), and a down-on-his-luck regular guy (Hart), who get mistaken for one another while they're staying at an Airbnb. Shenanigans and hilarity ensue as they both try to make it out of this case of mistaken identity alive.

Kaley Cuoco (The Big Bang Theory; The Flight Attendant), Jasmine Mathews (The Tomorrow WarThe Rookie), Lela Loren (American Gods; Power), Pierson Fodé (SupergirlThe Bold and the Beautiful), Jencarlos Canela (TelenovelaGrand Hotel), and Primetime Emmy-winner Ellen Barkin (The FanAnimal Kingdom) round out the cast.

While Sony may be punting on a theatrical release for this film, they still have a pretty strong lineup coming later this year, toplined by the Brad Pitt actioner Bullet Train on July 29 and the hotly-awaited Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse on October 7.
