As the South Africa schedule of Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part Two concludes, the one-and-only Tom Cruise has shared a very special message from the set of his hotly-awaited 2024 action sequel, thanking fans for their immense support of his most recent blockbuster, Top Gun: Maverick.
Oh, and did we mention that he's doing this all while free-falling from a jet?
The legendary actor and 3x Academy Award-nominee also wishes everyone a very happy holidays, as he simultaneously teases what should be one of the film's most show-stopping sequences.
Director Christopher McQuarrie confirmed earlier today that filming had wrapped in South Africa, with the team set to move on to a mysterious new location at the top of the new year. He was not particularly forthcoming with details, but we should learn more in the coming weeks. For now, let this incredible team enjoy their holidays.
As for the aforementioned Top Gun: Maverick, the Joseph Kosinski-directed actioner is set to arrive on Paramount+ on December 22.
