With the film set for its world premiere in just over a week at CinemaCon, Paramount Pictures has shared an awesome new behind-the-scenes featurette for Top Gun: Maverick, revealing the absolutely insane training regime Tom Cruise and his supporting cast of up-and-coming actors underwent in preparation to film the biggest action film of the year.
Considering the film has been completed for nearly two years now, a ton of stories have already been written about the pilot training schedule Cruise devised for his young cast and now, for the first time ever, we finally get a look behind the curtain to see exactly what he and the cast went through during this intense shoot.
The long-awaited sequel will see Cruise finally step back into his career-defining role as Captain Pete "Maverick" Mitchell, and while it's been completed for nearly three years now, plot details have managed to remain relatively under wraps. As for what we do know, the recent trailer did reveal details on what - or who - will bring Maverick back to the academy to lead a new squadron of TOPGUN pilots.
In addition to the returning Cruise and Kilmer, the supporting cast consists of Miles Teller as Lt.
