Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny marks the final adventure for Harrison Ford's famed professor of archeology. It's a journey that started all the way back in 1981 with Raiders of the Lost Ark, spawning a global franchise that has earned $2 billion globally at the box office.
With four other films in the franchise that has now spanned multiple decades, you may be looking for a little bit of a refresher before watching Indy's next big-screen adventure. Assuming you don't own the first four films on Blu-ray or digitally, here's where you're able to stream them.
The most obvious place to find all four movies is on Disney+. Disney's streaming service is currently home to Raiders of the Lost Ark, Temple of Doom, Last Crusade, and Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. You can even watch The Adventures of Young Indiana Jones, a prequel series starring Sean Patrick Flanery as a young Indy traveling the world.
Eventually, Disney+ will also be home to Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, but Disney hasn't announced a streaming date yet. We estimate the movie will come to the service in about three months, so around late September or early October.
As it turns out, Disney+ isn't the only place to stream the adventures of Indy. Even though The Walt Disney Company purchased Lucasfilm in 2012, gaining future franchise rights to Indiana Jones, the first four movies remained under the control of Paramount. Because of this, all four movies can also be watched on Paramount+.
Now Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny is the first movie in the series to not be distributed by Paramount Pictures, so it's likely to only be available on Disney+ when it does arrive on streaming. For now, though, you can catch the first four movies on either service.
Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny currently sits at 68% on Rotten Tomatoes with an 84% audience score. The Critics Consensus reads: "It isn't as thrilling as earlier adventures, but the nostalgic rush of seeing Harrison Ford back in action helps Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny find a few final bits of cinematic treasure."
Harrison Ford returns to the role of the legendary hero archaeologist for this fifth installment of the iconic franchise. Starring along with Ford are Phoebe Waller-Bridge (“Fleabag”), Antonio Banderas (“Pain and Glory”), John Rhys-Davies (“Raiders of the Los Ark”), Shaunette Renee Wilson (“Black Panther”), Thomas Kretschmann (“Das Boot”), Toby Jones (“Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom”), Boyd Holbrook (“Logan”), Olivier Richters (“Black Widow”), Ethann Isidore (“Mortel”) and Mads Mikkelsen (“Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore”). Directed by James Mangold (“Ford v Ferrari,” “Logan”), the film is produced by Kathleen Kennedy, Frank Marshall and Simon Emanuel, with Steven Spielberg and George Lucas serving as executive producers. John Williams, who has scored each Indy adventure since the original "Raiders of the Lost Ark" in 1981, is once again composing the score.
Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny is now playing exclusively in theaters.
