The first three episodes of Reacher season two are now streaming and, ahead of its launch last weekend, we were able to sit down with returning series regular Maria Sten ("Frances Neagley") and new cast additions Serinda Swan ("Karla Dixon") and Shaun Sipos ("David O'Donnell") to talk about the action-packed new season.

The trio will aid leading man Alan Ritchson, who returns as the titular Jack Reacher, in his latest mission, which is based on Bad Luck and Trouble, the 11th book in Lee Child's best-selling series. The novel follows Reacher after he receives a coded message that the members of his former U.S. Army unit are being mysteriously and brutally murdered one by one. He then springs into action and begins to investigate, recruiting friends new and old to uncover a mystery where the stakes get higher at every turn.

In our fun chat, the three fan-favorite stars reveal how they quickly bonded to become the 110th and how their arcs tie into Reacher's journey this season.

ROHAN: Shaun & Serinda, I know how tight knit an army unit can be and with you two being the newcomers for this season, was there anything Alan and Maria did to really welcome you into the Reacher world? Or, how did the 110th initially bond?

SHAUN: I mean, they're just so welcoming. That's really all that you can do. There was no like, cool kids at school, you're gonna sit over there. They were just really fantastic people and just welcomed us in right away, and fortunately, we all got along. Everyone was giving each other little gifts and doing kindnesses for one another, and it just made all the difference.

SERINDA: Yeah, Maria was cooking. Shaun would make sure that we were all fed. Alan was also very good at making sure that we were fed, like do you want smoothies? Do you want food? What do you want? It was very lovely. I think what's interesting is coming on a show like this, where each season is its own book, it can be interesting, because it's not a new character coming into a show that's very streamlined. It's a very different world, and you never know how you're going to fit in, and I think sometimes you can see this really ridiculous thing where instead of being complimentary, women can be competitive, but the moment I got into Toronto, Maria sent me a text and was like, let's go out for lunch, and we immediately bonded over our love of like athletics, we got the same Pilates classes, we're eating the same food, we'd have our Friday, no Saturday night Gousto pasta dates. and I think, you know, it's always wonderful to have a relationship with somebody on set, but this is something that, you know, we still talk and it's really, it's really nice. So, there was, yeah, there was none of that, to Shaun's point. There was no cool kids - Sorry, guys. You're not cool. - You are cool! They were so cool. Yeah, they're not bullies. It was lovely. It became the 110th really fast.

ROHAN: Maria, Reacher is such a wandering nomadic character, but this season, he gets to see all of his old friends from the 110th at a new stage in their lives and gets to see how much they’ve grown. Neagley had his back in season one and now, she’s back and has leveled up too, how do you see her role in Reacher’s story and their friendship?

MARIA: Yeah, I think, you know, Neagley and Reacher are best friends and they have always been and will always be. They have this bond that they don't really speak of, but it's there, whether they talk about it or not. And, this season is really the season, you know, generally, I will say, Reacher will call Neagley if he needs some help, but this is the season where Neagley contacts him because the stakes are very high this season, because this is our family that is at stake here. I think Neagley always will ground Reacher, she will always know what he's thinking or what he's planning before he's even doing it, and I think that it’s good for him to have a relationship, and I think that's what this season does so well, even with the other characters. It just adds more color to who this person is, who obviously isn't someone who's big about talking about how he feels about stuff, so it's just an expansion of the world and our understanding of Reacher, which I think is super fun, and hopefully the fans will love that too.

About Reacher Season Two begins when veteran military police investigator Jack Reacher (Alan Ritchson) receives a coded message that the members of his former U.S. Army unit, the 110th MP Special Investigations, are being mysteriously and brutally murdered one by one. Pulled from his drifter lifestyle, Reacher reunites with three of his former teammates turned chosen family to investigate, including Frances Neagley (Maria Sten); Karla Dixon (Serinda Swan), a forensic accountant for whom Reacher has long had a soft spot; and fast-talking, switchblade-wielding family man David O’Donnell (Shaun Sipos). Together, they begin to connect the dots in a mystery where the stakes get higher at every turn, and brings about questions of who has betrayed them—and who will die next. Using his inimitable blend of smarts and size, Reacher will stop at nothing to uncover the truth and protect the members of his unit. If there’s one thing Reacher and his team know for certain, it’s that you do not mess with the Special Investigators. This season, get ready for Reacher and the 110th to hit back hard.

Reacher season two is now streaming on Prime Video!
