THE TERMINAL LIST Renewed For Season Two; Prequel Series Also In Development

It's being reported that Prime Video has renewed Chris Pratt's action-thriller series, The Terminal List, for a second season. Plus, they're also in the early stages of developing a prequel series!

After an action-packed freshman outing, Prime Video has renewed its action thriller series, The Terminal List, for a second season, with Chris Pratt (Jurassic World DominionGuardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3) set to return in the lead role as Lieutenant Commander James Reece.

While the series wasn't well-received by critics, it managed to win over audiences and boasts an impressive 94% audience score on review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, presumably giving the streamer more than enough reason to bring the show back for a second run.

Season one was primarily based on Jack Carr's 2018 novel of the same name, so if we were to wager a guess, season two will likely adapt the second novel in his James Reece series, True Believer, although there's always a chance they could skip to another novel.

Additionally, the streamer is also in the early stages of development on a prequel series that will center on Taylor Kitsch's character Ben Edwards. Further details are currently unknown, but it's believed to follow Edwards’ journey from the SEALS to the CIA.

Plus, revist our season one interviews with director Antoine Fuqua (Training DayThe Equalizer), author Jack Carr & screenwriter Dave DiGilio, stars Constance Wu ("Katie Buranek") and J. D. Pardo ("Tony Layun"), Jeanne Tripplehorn ("Lorraine Hartley") and LaMonica Garrett ("Commander Bill Cox"), and Tyner Rushing ("Liz Riley")!

Based on the best-selling novel by Jack Carr, The Terminal List follows James Reece (Chris Pratt) after his entire platoon of Navy SEALs is ambushed during a high-stakes covert mission. Reece returns home to his family with conflicting memories of the event and questions about his culpability. However, as new evidence comes to light, Reece discovers dark forces working against him, endangering not only his life, but the lives of those he loves.
