Bullet Train stars Brad Pitt as an unlucky assassin, Ladybug, who finds himself on a train full of his fellow assassins. That might not normally be an issue, but they're all there for the same reason, and chaos ensues.
At the end of the movie, it appears Ladybug's luck has finally run out when The Prince (played by Joey King) is revealed to have survived after the train crashes. Mere moments before she can deliver a fatal blow to her fellow assassin, The Prince is killed by a speeding truck, proving that luck, for once, is on Ladybug's side.
However, it turns out he has more than mere fate to be grateful for.
In a post-credits scene, we're taken back to 10 minutes earlier when Lemon (Brian Tyree Henry) jumped from the train to what we thought was certain death. However, it turns out he fell into a lake, so he kills the White Death's goon he rescued Ladybug from and makes his way back to land.
Stealing a van, he spots The Prince in the distance and mows her down, taking his revenge for the death of Tangerine (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) earlier in the movie after he was killed by one of The Prince's booby-trapped gadgets. The kicker? The truck is transporting tangerines, so it looks like they both got revenge...kind of.
By the time all is said and done, Ladybug and Lemon are the last assassins standing. Did one more fight ensue or could they perhaps team up in a sequel? That remains to be seen!
Reviews for Bullet Train haven't been the most positive, though, and it currently sits at 56% on Rotten Tomatoes. Whether that will deter moviegoers from checking out David Leitch's star-studded action movie this weekend is hard to say, and moviegoers will ultimately decide whether this is a ride they want to take again.
Bullet Train is now playing in theaters.
