On the heels of dropping the first trailer for The Covenant, Guy Ritchie is gearing up to start work on his next actioner, The Ministry Of Ungentlemanly Warfare, which Deadline is now reporting has added eight to its Henry Cavill-fronted ensemble cast.
The new additions are Alan Ritchson (Fast X; Reacher), Henry Golding (Crazy Rich Asians; The Gentlemen), Henrique Zaga (The New Mutants; Beyond The Universe), Alex Pettyfer (Magic Mike; The Butler), Cary Elwes (Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre; Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One), Hero Fiennes Tiffin (After; The Woman King), Babs Olusanmokun (Dune; Star Trek: Strange New Worlds) and Til Schweiger (Inglourious Basterds; Atomic Blonde).
The eight join the aforementioned Cavill (Mission: Impossible - Fallout; Justice League) and co-star Eiza González (Baby Driver; Godzilla vs. Kong) in this World War II feature.
Paul Tamasy and Eric Johnson, Arash Amel, and Ritchie penned the script together, which is based on war correspondent and military historian Damien Lewis’ best-selling book of the same name.
The plot will tell the true story of "UK Prime Minister Winston Churchill and Ian Fleming’s secret WWII combat organization. The clandestine squad’s unconventional and ‘ungentlemanly’ fighting techniques against the Nazis helped change the course of the war and gave birth to the modern Black Ops unit."
Jerry Bruckheimer (Top Gun: Maverick; Pirates of the Caribbean) is also attached as a producer, alongside Richie.
Production is slated to begin on February 13 in Turkey.
